Litchfield City Council Meeting
Steve Kotzer, owner of Litchfield Building Center, visited the Litchfield City Council Monday night with a proposal for LBC to purchase lots along the Litchfield Golf Course on Ripley Street which would be developed into 8 twin homes. He says the 16-units would provide higher-end housing in the range of $300,000-to$350,000.
Kotzer says the units would have two bedrooms, two bathrooms and two-stall garages, and would help with the city’s housing shortage. He says the development would also include the purchase of property on West Pleasure Drive to give residents of the development access to Lake Ripley. The Council approved of a motion to schedule a special meeting to consider a purchase agreement. Kotzer says if the City accepts the agreement, construction would likely start in the spring.
Also Monday night, the Litchfield City Council approved of a services contract with Meeker County Assessor Missy Voigt for 2024 through 2027; and approved of a memorandum of understanding with MN Teamsters Local #320.
