CONNER HOLTHAUS has been chosen as this weeks “Student of the Week”. Connor is a senior and the son of Hilary. Conner is a recognized leader and role model in the senior class. A two-way starter on the varsity football team, Conner was a key to the Eagles success. He is also a standout on the Eagles baseball team. Academically, Conner is an outstanding student and will have successfully earned a number of college credits by the time he graduates in May. He is a leader and a top competitor in the local FFA chapter. Congratulations Conner!

LHS “Students of the Week” – December 12

MEGAN MAURER has been selected as one of this week’s “Students of the Week” by John Friederichs. Megan is a junior and the daughter of Mae Maurer-Rogers and Glen Rogers of Litchfield and the late Craig Maurer. Megan was chosen for this honor based upon her high grade point average over the course of the first quarter. Megan participates on the Dragon Dance team and choir and will be part of the Women’s Choir during the second semester. Congratulations Megan!

SYDNEY BRAATEN has been selected as one of this week’s “Students of the Week” by Katie Theis of the Social Studies Department. Sydney is a sophomore and the daughter of Luke and Darcie Braaten of Litchfield. Sydney has a great attitude and work ethic. She come to class ready to learn and positively contributes to classroom discussions on a daily basis. Her completed projects and assignments are proof that Sydney goes above and beyond and wants to excel in US History. LIVIA BEHNKE has been selected as one of this week’s “Students of the Week” by Justin Wittrock of the Business Department. Livia is a junior and the daughter of Tony and Karlyn Behnke of Litchfield. Livia is a tremendous asset to class. She works hard, participates in class discussions and shows great leadership in everything she does. Livia participates in golf, tennis and mentors at the Lake Ripley Elementary. Congratulations Livia!

KAL JACKMAN has been selected as one of this week’s “Students of the Week” by Darin Swenson of the Social Studies Department. Kal is a senior and the son of Jim and Maureen Jackman of Litchfield. Kal bring a natural curiosity and an exceptional work ethic to his classes. He is always challenging himself to understand the material and make connections to his life. Mischa was chosen for this honor based upon his excellent attention to detail, high interest in the visual arts and his outstanding curiosity and effort. MARY RIDGEWAY has been selected as one of this week’s “Students of the Week” by Brett Damerow of the Science Department. Mary is a junior and the daughter of Nick and Jen Ridgeway of Litchfield. Mary was chosen for this honor based upon her academic performance, her willingness to help others, her work ethic and leadership abilities. DYLAN ISAKSON has been selected as one of this week’s “Students of the Week” by Dan Buker of the Mathematics Department. Dylan is a sophomore and the son of William and Kristie Isakson of Grove City. Dylan demonstrates a strong work ethic daily and is committed to mastering the math concepts. He works well with others and is always willing to help. HANNAH HOLMBERG has been chosen as this weeks “Student of the Week”. Hannah is a senior and the daughter of Chad and Mary. Hannah is currently enrolled in 4 honor courses as she prepares for the rigor of college academics. She’s a member of the State level cross country team and serves as captain. Hannah is busy trying to narrow her college selection, and notes that she’ll certainly miss her EV-W teachers following graduation. Congratulations Hannah!

LYDIA DINIUS has been selected as one of this week’s “Students of the Week” by John Twernbold of the Music Department. Lydia is a senior and the daughter of Allen and CherylAnn Dinius of Litchfield. Lydia is a talented performer in the Percussion Class who has developed her skills on many instruments. She has served on the drumline leadership team during summer marching band and brings to that role her dedication and hard work. Lydia has also been instrumental in putting together the Drum show for the Indoor Marching Band Concert this weekend. Lydia participates in Percussion Class, Marching Band and Fall Musical. KENDRA CHRISTIANS has been selected as one of this week’s “Students of the Week” by David Ceasar of the Band Department. Kendra is a senior and the daughter of Clint and Shelly Christians of Watkins. Kendra was chosen for this honor based upon the amount of behind the scenes work she does for the band and colorguard. She spends time teaching others, writing routines and helps those in need. Aaron thanks his parents for their positive role-modeling and commitment made to their family. Currently, Aaron is enrolled in 3 honor courses attempting to challenge himself academically and also reduce the cost of college tuition in the future. He’s been an active member in the Investment Club, wrestling and the football team, where he also serves as a team captain. LHS “Students of the Week” – February 28

COLLIN ELLSON has been selected as one of this week’s “Students of the Week” by David Ceasar of the Music Department. Collin is a sophomore and the grandson of Art and Gail Ellson of Litchfield. Collin has grown to be a reliable and hardworking young man. He works to better his skills in areas that are not required and goes the extra mile to learn new skills. Besides learning the trombone in band class, Collin has taken up the guitar, base and bass trombone. Collin participates in Football and Marching Band. Congratulations Collin!

JAKOB SCHERMANN has been selected as one of this week’s “Students of the Week” by Darin Swenson of the Social Studies Department. Jakob is a junior and the son of Rachel Schermann of Manannah. Over the past couple of weeks, Jakob has really stepped up in class. He is actively engaged in the lessons and is setting a great example for his classmates. His willingness to participate and answer questions has been an asset to the class. Jakob participates in Cross Country and Track. Congratulations Jakob!

WILL LAPLANTE has been selected as one of this week’s “Students of the Week” by Terri Orzolek. Will is a senior and the son of Bill and Kristy LaPlante of Litchfield. Will was chosen for this honor based upon his completion of his work and turning it in. He is helpful to others, has an outgoing personality, sense of humor and an increase in school and personal responsibility. Will participates in wrestling, trap shooting, baseball, and track and field. Congratulations Will!

TIA LUNDIN has been selected as one of this week’s “Students of the Week” by Mrs. Boerema of the English Department. Tia is a senior and the daughter of David Lundin and Jenny Lundin of Litchfield. Tia is a joy to have in class. She gives 110% effort all of the time. She is kind to others and has a genuine desire to learn. She is well-spoken and is a strong writer. TESSA LUNDIN has been selected as one of this week’s “Students of the Week” by Siri Damerow of the Math Department. Tessa is a senior and the daughter of Jenny Lundin and David Lundin of Litchfield. Tessa’s intelligence and hard work combined makes her an excellent math student. She is kind and encouraging to her classmates and her positive attitude makes the class climate better every day. JORDAN NIECE has been selected as one of this week’s “Students of the Week” by Mr. Spanos of the Industrial Technology Department. Jordan is a senior and the son of Paul and Shelly Nelson of Litchfield. Jordan has been enrolled in the following Industrial Technology classes – Metals Manufacturing, Construction Tech and Wood Carving. He consistently takes a leadership role in class and is always productive and respectful. His ability to work with his classmates and motivate others is exceptional. NATHAN UTECHT has been chosen as this weeks “Student of the Week”. Nathan is a senior and the son of Richard and Joella. Nathan is described as a dedicated and hardworking student athlete who participates in everything the school has to offer. He’s actively involved and provides leadership to the football program, speech, knowledge bowl, National Honor Society, robotics, DECA, band and jazz ensemble. Nathan was recently recognized as the male AAA (academics, arts and athletics) winner at school and the subsection level.

ANNA EUERLE has been selected as one of this week’s “Students of the Week” by Carrie Larson in the English Department. Anna is freshman and the daughter of Vaughn and Joan Euerle of Litchfield. Anna was chosen for this honor because of her diligence and drive in English 9. When she is not reading a story for class, Anna is actively involved in varsity band, tennis, bel canto choir, fall musical, one act play, FFA, spring J.R. musical, jazz band and marching band. Anna also takes part in 4-H, dairy knowledge bowl and dairy judging. She enjoys showing dairy cattle and helping out of the farm. Congratulations Anna!
