In 1984, President Ronald Reagan proclaimed July as National Ice Cream Month and established National Ice Cream Day as the third Sunday in the month of July – hooray for U.S.A.

Okay, yeah… it seems like Americans have a holiday for everything under the sun and some people think that’s kind of silly. But when there’s free ice cream involved, just be quiet and enjoy your sundae.
