Litchfield City Council Meeting
The Litchfield City Council heard a presentation from Golf Course Committee Member Greg Langmo last night regarding the possible sale of the restaurant at the Golf Club. Langmo is the at-large community member who was recently appointed to the committee which also consists of two City Council members and two members of Golf Club Inc.
Langmo says there are a couple of local parties who have expressed interest in the restaurant, but the Committee feels the best first step is to have an appraisal conducted of the property. The City Council approved of spending up to $3,500 for an appraisal of the whole building. A resolution was also approved to have Langmo and two Council Members serve as negotiators for a possible sale of the restaurant.
The Litchfield City Council also heard a presentation last night from former mayor and Lions Club representative Keith Johnson who said that the Lions Club is willing to organize the city-wide clean-up day again this year on May 18th from 8-to-10:30 a.m. The Council approved of the offer from the Lions Club.
Mayor Ron Dingmann spoke to the Council last night about standards of conduct for Council members and a resolution was approved to work on this matter during a work session at 4 p.m. on February 5th. The Council also approved of a conditional use permit and variance request for Meeker County for the development of a small parking lot at the corner of Armstrong Avenue and First Street – just north of Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home. The Council also appointed Ian McGuire to the Heritage Preservation Commission.
