The First Lutheran Church of Cosmos Ice Cream Social is on Wednesday, June 28th from 4:30-to-7 p.m.  There will be salads, ham and hot turkey sandwiches, raw vegetables and dip, watermelon, cantaloupe, pie, ice cream, egg coffee and milk.  It’s $7 for adults, $4 for children 6-to-12 and free for children under 6.  The church is at 54986 145th Street – just northeast of Cosmos.

Miles 4 Marcus Run/Walk

The 2nd annual Miles 4 Marcus Run/Walk will be held on Tuesday, July 4th at 8:30 a.m. with a 4-mile run/walk around Lake Manuella, and a 10-mile or 20-mile bike route.  Pork chops on a stick will also be available from 9 a.m. to noon for freewill donations.  You can get more information at Zap Events or on Facebook.  Proceeds will go to the Marcus Huhn Scholarship Fund.

Lake Ripley Cemetery Walking Tour

The Lake Ripley Cemetery Citizens Committee and Heritage Preservation Commission are sponsoring a walking tour of the historic cemetery on Friday, July 7th from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.   Enter through the west side and you’ll be directed where to park.  Free will donations will be used for grave repairs.

Joyride will provide rides to people in – and within a 10-mile radius of – Litchfield for $5 on Saturday, July 8th from 10:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the Watercade street dance, VFW, Eagles Club, Kicker’s and the American Legion. Tickets are available in advance at Ramsey Printing.

Meeker County Master Gardener’s Garden Tour

The Meeker County Master Gardener’s Garden Tour is on Tuesday, July 11th from 5-to-8:30 p.m.  The cost is $5 per person.  Tickets are available at the Emmaus Gift Shop, KLFD, Stockmen’s Nursery, the Meeker County Extension office and from Toucan Do Better Relay for Life team members.  You can also purchase tickets during the tour.  A meal will be available from 5-to-7:30 that evening at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield with proceeds going to Zion Youth.  Hicks Bus will also have a bus available that evening for $10 – call Linnea for more details and to reserve a seat by July 5th at 693-3292.
